Jasmine Ginger Rice with Peas

Serves 6

Ingredients:

2 cups Mahatma® Jasmine Rice
1 1/2 tsp fresh ginger, finely grated
2 cans (14.5 oz each) chicken broth
2 tsp lemon juice
1 pkg (10 oz) frozen green peas, thawed
Parmesan Cheese, shredded (optional)


Directions:

Combine rice, ginger, chicken broth and lemon juice in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat and fold in peas. Cover and set 5 minutes before serving. If desired, sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese.




Brown Rice is an excellent source of whole grains.
